Belgrade and Snow!

Hello Friends and Family!

Since my last update, I've spent 20 hours on a bus, tasted several examples of Serbian cuisine, witnessed 40 hours of constant snowfall, and lived to tell the tale!

Last Monday morning, our team took off for a 10 hour trip to Belgrade, Serbia for a Tuesday night EuroCup match against Pancevo. After winning the first set, we struggled throughout the rest of the match, and ended up losing in 4. (Fortunately, we play them again at home this Thursday, and we have a chance to redeem ourselves with a win to continue in the EuroCup...) We endured a 10 hour return journey to Klagenfurt on Wednesday, and upon arrival Kristina and I decided to spend the evening chowing down on some Klagenfurt style Asian yumminess with our friends Marco and Matthias. Chinese buffet?? OK!!!

The weekend brought a MEVSA match against the team from Split, who we lost to in 3 when we played them in Croatia. It was exciting to get a win, and hopefully it'll boost our confidence going up against Pancevo again!

Off to practice in a bit, but thought I should update with some pictures of the winter wonderland of Klagenfurt. It's beautiful, and besides the cold toes, I love it!

Hope all is well at home!
